4 Months

Our little Elyse just turned 4 months. My is she growing... At her doctor's appointment last week she weighed 13 lbs. 11oz and is 25 inches long. She is little miss social butterfly and doesn't want to miss a beat. She love love loves to be talked to and has decided she no longer needs afternoon or evening naps. I think she just likes spending time with mommy and daddy since we are both gone during the day! At least she still loves to sleep at night (which I am oh so thankful for now that I have returned to work for a bit)- 10-11 hours if we let her. In the past month she has accomplished so much- she found both her hands and her feet. She loves to eat her hands and hold her feet. She has graduated to 5 ounces of milk per feeding and has even tried rice cereal. Her favorite things are watching TV (not even joking), blowing bubbles, and screaming in her little high pitch voice. She brings so much joy to our family- smiling and cooing all the time! We still can't believe she is ours and we have the privilege of knowing, loving, and raising her! Here a few pics I snapped on her four month birthday!

Elyse's First Easter

Elyse had a fun, but busy Easter weekend. On Saturday she was the star of Mimi and Papa's surprise 30th wedding anniversary party. My mom and dad were convinced they were coming over to dye Easter eggs. Little did they know, we had a back yard full of family and friends to celebrate them! Of course Elyse got just as much attention as they did. She didn't mind. In fact, Elyse wouldn't have missed a minute, and she didn't. That's right, despite her exhaustion, she managed to stay awake most of the day and evening, and in good spirits too! Happy Anniversary Mimi and Papa!

The following morning we were off to church, followed by lunch at Grammy's and dinner at Mimi's. We had a fabulous time remembering Christ's sacrifice on our behalf. It is because He gave His life that we can have life so abundantly! Praise God! We spent the next couple of days at home recuperating from all the fun-filled activities! Hope you had a blessed Easter weekend as well!
